Includes a large wood paneled live room, three isolated booths of varying sizes, a 24-track Neotek console and a plethora of instruments, amps, tools and toys.

 Please note our minimum hire fee for all music projects (with some youth project exceptions) is $350 (the equivalent fee for a half day studio hire). We will create a custom quote for you based on your project’s requirements and scope. Please fill out the contact form here to begin that process!

The studio can be hired with an in-house engineer or as dry hire.



Inside our two-story complex includes multiple production studios used by prominent Adelaide producers and engineers.


Matt Schultz is our head engineer and producer.

They have been a part of the Adelaide music scene for a few years playing in a number of bands, namely The Empty Threats and Twine.

Matt specializes in post-punk, noise-rock and dream-pop, focusing on dynamics and textures to create width and warmth in each recording.

Jack Hartley

Jack has over 15 years of experience as a musician/songwriter, Jack’s toured extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Japan.

On the audio front, Jack’s a chameleon of the many sub-genres of heavy music, having worked with a number of acts – including Truth Corroded, Hidden Intent, Relapse, Werewolves, Shatter Brain, and many more.

A record label born from a desire to do things differently, try a new approach and move away from formulaic industry output. terra-cotta has been propelled into existence by some very talented musicians who surround hamish and a drive to see their works exist in the public realm.

caps lock records supports emerging South Australian musicians through the release of publications, records and events with an emphasis on the production of bespoke physical media and creation of environments for the performance, recording and release of music that emphasises DIY, experimental, and lofi approaches to music creation. In 2024 we curated a compilation album of 16 Adelaide artists  entitled Sitting In The Same Chairs which was pressed to vinyl by Impressed Recordings in 2025. At Interim we have a small store called ‘shelf’ which stocks our physical releases including vinyl, CDs, tapes and text publications.

We love to host bespoke events that are community focused, for-purpose, support the circular economy and that centre local and travelling artists. Events we have hosted in the past include:

  • In the round gigs

  • Behind the glass gigs

  • Music festival pre and after parties

  • Street parties
